My Adventures in Spark Land...Day #12 of Marching out of my rut

Monday, March 12, 2018

Wherever you
may be...
take a few minutes to
just sit and
enjoy the view...
~Heather Stillufsen

I declared March for myself March out of my rut month.

Yesterday my son just decided to take a day off and do nothing.

emoticon When I joined SP I was hardly on the computer. Within a few days of being on the SP, I met a lady who begun to control me on here. She told me what I should being doing on SP. I ended up spending 12 hours on the computer and getting nothing else done. We parted ways and I went down to 3-4 hours and checking my computer every hour to keep up with my SP friends and FB friends until I went to bed. Yesterday for the 1st time in years after my son woke up and decided to hang around here yesterday, I came over here and shut off the computer. The down-side is this AM I have felt overwhelmed trying to 'catch up' with SP and FB! Plus doing my online Bible Study. I did like the feeling I felt yesterday away from both sights! SP is not connected to my phone and neither is the email account I use.

emoticon I've been weekly going through a pin entitled 'Being Me' 52 weeks of soul searching and loving myself. This is week #11 and out 'assignment' is to get outdoors. A bit hard for me this time of the year until the snow melts and it warms up a bit!

Thank you for taking time reading my blog. I am reading all you comments just don't have time this week to thank everyone-sorry!

Keep Sparkling!

It is hard. I feel bad because I keep falling off the grid. I think about my Sparkly friends all the time, but by the time I get home from work and get everything done at home, lots of times there just isn't time.

I subscribe to your blog, it seems that SP moved you, no wonder I haven't seen your recent posts.

I do SP in the morning, when I wake up, with my coffee. No more than an hour. If I have time, I will check back later, but I don't want to spend so much time in the virtual world that the real world passes me bye.

I am still struggling to get back on program- instead of getting anxious about it, I am doing it one step at a time. Enjoy the spring break with your son.

Definitely spend time with your son. When I first joined SP I was on all the time too. Now when I go out to do chores in the morning, I shut the computer off. If I have to use the computer during the day, I do what I have to do, and get off. I have too much work to do around here on my farm, I can't sit on the computer. Some people get mad when I don't comment on their blogs every day and de-friend me. I can't help that I don't comment on all the blogs, but I do read them. Have a great time this week. emoticon

I spend many hours on the puter each day,
I balance this out by not spending too much time watching "the box"
    Cheers

Sometimes it is necessary to unplug and spend time in the real world. We'll be here for you after DS returns to college. Enjoy the special time with him; it will go all too quickly.

You have to not be worried to thank everyone you just go spend time with your Darling Son that is what matters most at the moment. If you thank me for this comment on my page or whatever that will be time wasted that could be spent with your son.

Spark people is great but you have to have a life outside of it. It's important to not lead a cluttered filled spark people. Keep friends, teams etc... to a minimum so you can cope with what you have to do for the day on and off the computer.

I find it hard to figure out a balance between being on the computer and being away from it. I like seeing what my friends have to say. I know I need to get away sometimes.

Yay to you for getting away from the computer for even a day. One thing that might help is that when you're on the computer, to set a timer, as we lose sense of time when we're surfing. Maybe half an hour or an hour, to limit your computer time. That would also give you a timeframe to see how much you can do while you're online. Or use the computer time as a reward for getting things done that are on your around-the-house "to do" list. I hope you're having fun with your son (the rhyme isn't intentional, lol).

Spend time w/your son!!!! Definitely. That's priority. For sure, those of us who know you KNOW you're son is home and totally understand you are going to spend time w/him! HUGS and enjoy your son.

Spark is addictive. I spent less time on it this weekend due to my 9 year old grandson being here. I enjoyed it as well. Just like you, now I am behind. I also got in less exercise. But I DID have fun and that's what was important.

    Have a great day.

Yeah, SP can get you hooked up to the computer really quick. I only use it for the tracking modes or if I'm discourage and need that extra kick in the butt... umm support push from another.

Enjoy your goal of getting outside!
