The history of the Cosco kitchen stool

My Aunt Ruby had one of these stools. I loved sitting on it, pulling out the steps and listening to her cook. I miss her. Earlier this year, I spotted a Cosco stool in someone's trash pile::gasp and WooHoo:: it was not the kind Aunt Ruby had, but, HEY! it was FREE. I learned a lot about how to recover the seat. Adley loves sitting on it at the dinner table
Here is my first find..I failed to take a pic BEFORE I recovered the seat:( I kept the original color and it's beautiful patina.
Today, on my morning walk at a trade show, I spotted this yellow beauty
I could hardly contain myself! I had to walk away initially because the vendor was MIA and I needed to get back to my booth. So I made a mental note of the stool's location. As soon as I hit my booth, I was asking for money
I quickly traversed my path back to this yellow stool, found the vendor and purchased the type of stool I have been looking for my entire adult life. SCORE!!!!
Now, for the oil cloth purchase, which I did not use the first time, but should have...another lesson learned. These stools just naturally provide life lessons, much like the ladies who owned them in yesteryears. Both my granddaughters will have this special memory that only comes from a vintage Cosco kitchen stool.
My hubby told me the other day that Adley was not crazy about the color of my first stool, so I shall pink a print with some pink cuz that is what Oma's do
