2 steps forward, 1 step back or losing weight on nightshift is hard

Tuesday, May 29, 2018

I work nightshift. On my workdays, all I do is sleep, eat and work. Luckily I get 10k+ steps in on every shift. 😃 But the eating healthy and meal planning is very difficult. 😞Normally, I stay fairly busy at work, but the last few days have been S-L-O-W. On top of that, I have been frustrated with someone. So yesterday I fell of the healthy eating wagon. I went way over my calorie intake. It continued today, but tomorrow I'm off work so I'll be back at it and maybe i'll be a little better, maybe not. But I'm going to keep trying.

Working 2nd or 3rd shift is difficult to maintain a healthy lifestyle. When I worked 2nd shift, I had to just align my meals with my wake time. I had to bring all my meals, but I did maintain a good weight at that time. But know what you mean when work is slow. I worked at an auto plant and when the line was down, nothing to do and the boredom eating kicks in. Good luck it can be done, but like you say it is hard. emoticon emoticon

I worked 11:00 PM to 8:00 AM for 2 or 3 nights years ago until I got called to work for an insurance company. I don't think I would have handled the night shift for long. You have to be a strong person to work that shift.

So you, being that strong person, can do anything!! Yes, we have to keep trying! Good Luck.
