Holy Guacamole!

Wednesday, May 30, 2018

Guess it's no secret that I really don't care for the blogging aspect of the 5% challenge. In fact, I often don't do it, but I feel an obligation to my team (the Spirited Underdogs) to earn our points. Apparently something I said in yesterday's blog appealed to a few people, as I had lots of terrific feedback. It was the part about a food being so good it was "to die for." I chose not to die for a Red Lobster biscuit yesterday.

The thing is, even though this isn't the most fun I've ever had (I don't like to do crafts either, but give me a book to read and I'm happy as a bug in a rug), it has been fun reading the feedback/comments. In fact, the comments made me realize that it's the little things that keep us going and mean the most when we're slogging our way through this ongoing journey called weight loss. Thank you for the lessons I'm learning each and every day!

If you're interested in checking out the Summer 5% Challenge, click on the link below and see if it might fit for you. Yes, the "ultimate" goal is to lose 5% of your weight. I don't think I ever have in the many challenges I've participated in. But, I am losing something...a little bit at a time! I can't do as much exercise as some of my kennelmates are able to do, but I am doing something. I don't like all the LTGL (living the good life) challenges, but I am doing them (this blog is an example--thank goodness it changes up each and every week and each challenge, and we don't always have to blog!!). It's a great way to get more active, meet new people, get and give support to one another, and to stay focused on what this is all about: LIVING THE GOOD LIFE!

I love to read too but a long time ago in grade ten in fact one of my teachers told me "You can write a good story what if all the people who like to read said ,I'd rather be reading , then where would we be?" I have written stories ever since even if they are just short accounts of what I have been doing LOL!

I don't like to blog either because I've found that most of my blogs are complaints! My mama always told me to quit complaining....

Sometimes it's just good to step out of our comfort zone. So doing the blog thing for you is shaking things up for you. emoticon emoticon emoticon

While you may not enjoy writing on a daily basis, it's very obvious that there are many others besides me who truly enjoy what you write. Will really miss your posts when this part of your challenge is completed.

The Over 60 Team also has a very exciting weight loss challenge. It's 12 weeks long and we have a different challenge every week. We nickname our weight loss challenge team Love our Life-LoLTeam. Our challenges consist of nutrition, fitness, self improvement & self love. We play Black Jack, Bingo, Ship Captain Crew, Roadtrips-- Our members who played the games last round ALL met their 12 week weight loss goal!! One member lost 19 pounds!!! And she is disabled. We had fun and are very encouraging of each other!
I also belong to another challenge team that rocks-- BLC - they too are 12 weeks and have 3 different challenges per week to help you meet your goals.
The LoL new round begins Sunday June 3.

I've also have tried 5% challenge team. Used to be on the Daisy team. And I've been on the X-Weighted Diva team. They are all great teams but I have great results with BLC & LoL! But thanks for the offer.
