5% Challenges

I joined my first 5% challenge with the Spring 2018 one. I learned a lot about making healthier choices. I have a lot to learn still.

I will continue to take part in the 5% challenges as long as I enjoy them and learn something. I think I'll be there forever! I started the challenge posting everyday and getting lots of points for the team. I slacked off towards the end of the challenge primarily because it got harder for me. I'm horrible at eating my freggies (fruits & veggies) and de-cluttering. I'm a work in progress.

I did better than I would have without the challenge. I will continue to improve so I can create new and healthier habits! My weight loss will not be close to 5% but I did lose some and I'm sure it's more than it would have been without the challenge!

I have meet some wonderful and supportive people the various leaders for the teams and challenge. I want to thank them for all the work they do to make this challenge happen. Everyone's weight loss journey is unique and special. I will be a "success" story on here but it may take me awhile. I have 50ish years of unhealthy habits to turn into healthy ones.

The challenges during the 8 weeks are there to help you create healthy lifestyle changes! I'm grateful for the chance to continue on this journey with a wonderful group of people who are willing to help one another to become healthier!
