Day 29/ Knee Surgery

Tuesday, June 19, 2018

So I had a f/u for my MRI I had last week. I thought for sure he was going to say I was doing well enough to not need the surgery. But, the MRI still showed the tear and scar tissue and he pressed on a place on my knee and man did it hurt like crazy. So, knee surgery date: July 11. Will hear more from them on time and such the thursday before the surgery. I wish it was sooner, I will still be recuperating when I get my puppy. And when our company comes.

We will be going to DCI Atlanta. Don't know what DCI stands for (Drum Corp something I think), but it is marching bands competing. We went to one in MS when we were living there and it was so much fun to watch, though I needed some serious headache meds when we left, it is LOUD. We are going for ODD's birthday. She will be in band this next school year when she goes to middle school. DH was in band and loves this stuff too. We may go to Medieval Times as well, while our guests are here, depends on what they want to do, other than hike, since I won't be fully recovered yet.

My anxiety has been high for the last 2+ weeks. I finally sent an email to my p-doc and he got me in to see him tomorrow. I'll see him right after I see my therapist in the morning. I can't go on like this. I just can't. I honestly think that the anxiety is what made me lose my lunch today. I'm emotional eating, which means I had a few bites of chocolate, NOT GOOD. I'll probably lose that in a few minutes too, it's not sitting well at all. I should not have had it. I need to get this kind of stuff out of the house, but the kids wanted s'mores and I wanted them to have them too, so there it is.

Enjoying June while I can, I have a few appointments, but July is going to be very busy. Knee surgery, ODD's Birthday, company coming to stay, DCI, and getting my puppy. Plus all of the back to school business. Oh boy.

All good things, just going to be a more busy month. Looking forward to most of it.

You will feel alot better once the knee is taken care of. Follow doctor orders. You will have to do the knee exercises everyday for the rest of your life. Recall I had both done at the same time. emoticon
