Challenges ahead of me

I have never blogged before, but I'm trying to be more involved in the Sparkpeople community. I need the support. Two days ago I posted a "before" picture for the first time. Now I'm taking stock of my eating habits. i have been a fairly healthy eater, but I love sugar and carbs. It's easy for me to avoid the obvious sources of sugar at home, such as desserts, because I don't buy them and keep them around the house. But then I succumb to sugar everywhere else - cookies or candy at work or non-dessert items such as flour tortillas, bagels, rolls, sweet cereal, etc. So today is the first day of reduced sugar. That doesn't mean I'm going to eliminate an entire food group, but I'm replacing flour tortillas with corn tortillas, opting for whole grain pasta and avoiding bread. Also, no orange juice or other fruit juices - just the whole fruit instead. I am not going to do an all-out "all or nothing" approach because that is how I fail time and time again. Wish me luck!
