Mountains and mole hills

Friday, July 27, 2018

So there are some things I struggle with in my life that are small, and others are huge. But keeping things in perspective isn't always easy. But I was recently reminded of what is a molehill verses a mountain. In the early morning hours of this Wednesday, my garage was broken into. They stole my husband's new bike, a second expensive bike, my son's hockey bag and an expensive remote control car. Totaling around $3000. It's just one of many.... Molehills that I deal with in my life. See, I have a very broad look on life and for years I've struggled with depression from abuse, family issues, and so much more. As time as as passed I've simplified them into what I consider mountains, and what I consider mole hills. This robbery, was a little mole hill. Mountains in my life include more permanent things, health, relationships, and happiness. These are things no one should put aside and we can seldom do without them. But as I'm 40 years into my life through many struggles I've learned this late. But it's never too late to work to climb the mountains. Doing so makes the molehills much easier to stomp down.

So true, What a great positive attitude. Sorry for the break-in but your home owner's insurance may cover some of it. And like you said these are things that can be replaced. Great attitude and I hope you have a great weekend.
