Saying no to stress eating!

Tuesday, July 31, 2018

Golly, I’m in finals week and today I have 5 projects due! I’m super anxious, and someone in my family left a bag of movie butter popcorn on the counter that has been calling my name. I know if I pop it, though, I’ll eat the whole bag, and 320 calories of popcorn is not a good decision for me. I’ve been working through the Beck Diet program and it helps with defeating “sabotaging thoughts.” I keep telling myself that I’m not hungry, and that I can eat till the cows come home, but it won’t solve my stress and the proper solution is to accomplish my work and then to eat a healthy, much more filling meal. Looking forward to boiled eggs and roasted asparagus at lunch!

You are smart enough to know what food will actually provide nourishment, and know that is what your body needs! Good job on eating smart!
