I broke into the 260's this morning! 47 pounds total down from my highest weight & only 20 more pounds to go to get to what I weighed in college when I met my now husband :D I definitely have more energy. I have learned a lot of important skills so far & am still practicing things like how to stop a binge when I start (because that definitely still happens), how to get back on the horse after a bad day & how to just eat mindfully. I have found that as long as I eat in moderation I truly can eat anything! That has been so eye opening for me as an over eater. I have tried so many different "diets" over the years & would lose a big chuck of weight 30 pounds, 50 pounds, 70 pounds, one time 90 pounds! only to gain it back & then some after I stopped that "diet". I now know that this is not something I can stop so I better find something that I can do forever & I have! Tracking calories & getting in my minimum of 10,000 steps a day is my sweet spot & I know I can continue this forever so it's not so scary anymore. I CAN DO THIS! I hate that it will be 4 years from now before I will be at my goal weight if I lose 1/2 a pound a week, but I've already come so far & I am going to celebrate each 1/2 pound along the way!!! So excited to actually see my 2nd big goal of being at 250 might actually be attainable by the end of the year! How satisfying to know I started 2018 over 300 pounds and will be solidly in the 200's at the start of 2019. This is a great adventure. I am loving getting fit & finally feel like a healthy role model for my kids :D

    Funny thing happened to me today...I went to lunch with a friend I haven't seen in a while. She commented on how much weight I lost since the last time. We ordered and prior to the lunch coming out, dinner rolls came out. She said to me, I guess you won't be eating any of these. I told her actually I can eat whatever I want to eat. The key is everything in moderation which is something I never did before.
