I started my fitness journey on April 3, 2018. I broke my left ankle in October of 2015 it was a bad break and I had multiple complications. I had 6 surgeries in a 20 month time frame, had blood clots, got a deep bone and tissue infection and almost lost my left foot as a result. I did not walk for 2 1/2 years. I was about 20 lbs overweight when I broke my ankle, add in not walking and not making the healthiest food choices due to convenience, and let's be honest I was severely depressed through my ordeal which led to emotional eating. I was diagnosed with CRPS in October 2017-which means I will have chronic pain related to my original ankle injury. This diagnosis was devastating to me. After moping for numerous months I decided to get my ass in gear and fight like hell to get some of my life back. I do not take any pain medications-i just deal with the pain day in and day out. I have been on my fitness journey for 120 days and have lost 32 lbs. I have another 32 ish pounds to go. #progressnotperfection #myfitnessjourney
