There seems to be a LOT of overlap in membership between these two teams.
I'm myself not a great "team member" of either team-- not a participant in team challenges, maximizing team points etc.
But: the overlap in membership suggests that lots of people use Beck techniques (among other strategies) to lost weight and to MAINtain : which is the MAIN thing for most of us here at Spark People.
And the At Goal & Maintaining site has amazing resources including the Big Page of Links and expert tracking on the statistics of maintainers.
That second part of the long unwieldy title to the At Goal & Maintaining team? The "Transition to Maintenance" part?
That's right!! You don't have to be "At Goal" to qualify for the At Goal & Maintaining Team. You're welcome right from the start. You can be "Transitioning to Maintenance" from Day One of your journey -- when you've still got 50 or 100 or more pounds to lose.
What do you want to get out of Spark People? Probably: to lose weight. But: most of us have done that before, lots of times, before we found Spark People.
This time, after you lose the weight, you want to MAINTAIN weight loss.
Then, maybe, to stick around and support other people in achieving the same goals?
Both the Beck team and the At Goal team are full of long term members who are exceptionally supportive people.
