DH and Sephora Visit
Thursday, October 25, 2018
Due to my limited mobility, I ordered some Sephora back in July, a mascara and a brow filler. I have been a Sephora shopper forever. Yes, little Miss Snotty. I used to shop Sephora in Paris when it was more of a discount store. It used to be cheaper than duty-free! It was always a nice break when working to try the perfumes and the makeup colors.
I am a brunette but was told many years ago that my skin has blonde characteristics. I need blond eyebrow pencils and fillers. The order messed up and I received Midnite Black brow filler. I would look like Elvira if I used it. I also live on what my grandmother called, "Put Off Street". Today was the last possible day I could exchange it. Normally, we go to a mall about 20 miles away. However, there is one literally 10 minutes away from the house. I don't like it for a variety of reasons. Today, we decided in the interests of time to go there. We went online to check the mall map so we would be able to park as close as possible. The directory maps were atrocious and we toggled between maps. It appeared to be by Macy's. We left early and scored the handicapped space closest to Macy's. It was still a bit of a walk. DH thought it might be easier to walk along side and enter, rather than navigating through the store with the walker. I started out well and by the time we made the mall door, I was shot and in pain. No seating in the entry aisle and guess what? Wrong side of Macy's. And one of the reasons we don't go here? Two policemen whiz by us. DH says, "It's kinda early for shoplifting." No, they actually have a substation at the mall. I am creeping towards a seat when I am cut off by a family with children. They take the table and I need to walk more feet to sit. We realize at this point, I cannot make Sephora. DH hates Sephora. At the mall we normally go to, there used to be a salesperson who was flaming gay. DH is beyond a homophobe. He is also an asthmatic so the store literally can make him ill. Today, it's on him. He's also a former construction worker. I wish I could be a fly on the wall to see this one. I give him the little bag with the brow filler and instructions to exchange for the honey blond. He gets it. It then takes me another half hour to get back to the car. My tracker says I only walked 50 steps, so not accurate. All in all, we left home at 10:45 and came back at 1!
It was beyond upsetting to me. I am recovering! But I can do my brows again.
