Another one off the Bucket List

Even so I do not do well on boats and often get seasick, somehow I have still always wanted to go whale watching. There is something about seeing these giants that fascinates me. So when I was browsing for things to do while in Los Angeles for training and a conference, I came across several offers for whale watching tours. Being on a tight budget I chose the one that looked the cheapest and closest to my Hotel.
I had not realized how big LA actually is. I think because of the way our towns in Kenya are very population dense I tend to forget how widespread a town with a similar number of people can be.
One of my colleagues, her son & I went early morning by Metro down to Longbeach and started our adventure.
First we saw the harbor and a big cruise ship, then we started seeing pods of Dolphins.
We also saw Sea Lions and all kinds of birds.
And then the big surprise, even the marine biologist who was giving the explanations, got really excited: We saw Orca!
Apparently it is rare to see them this close to LA. It was so special!
It was amazing! I took a lot of videos.
