Hospital

Wednesday, November 07, 2018

Well, Monday night I went to bed a bit early. Got up to go to the restroom and lost control of my body. I felt like a pin-ball crashing around and finally hitting the door frame to the bathroom my legs gave out and I slid to the floor. Then blank. When I came to my senses, I was staring at my hubby, he had gotten there in time to keep me from hitting my head on the tile floor. My muscles were twitching and shaking.

I've never had anything like this happen. I was so confused afterwards and moving so slow. Family managed to get me to the car and off we went to the ER. MIL and FIL met us there, in case they needed to take the kids and to support us in any way they could. I hit the jackpot in when comes to in-laws!

We got to the ER around 8 PM. We didn't get a room till 4 AM!!! I slept a little off and on but poor hubby had no where to do so! So the next night I insisted he go home and get some sleep because they didn't even have a sleeper chair in the room! My roomie we great, we talked through the curtain, "Hey, roomie!". Trying to make light of our situations.

Did all kinds of tests, all were fine, thank God! The neurologist there thinks that one of my medications could be causing the seizures. My psychiatrist, when I private messaged him before I went in the hospital, said that none of the medicines would be causing me to have seizures. I'm following up with my psychiatrist asap, I can't drive until he okays me. And I'm going to go ahead and see a neurologist because I get migraines as well, and don't like the guy I see. Plus I'm getting conflicting information, on if it does/doesn't cause seizures.

Gotta roll with the punches sometimes! I'm just glad that they didn't find anything on the tests! Whew!

Have a great...whatever day it is, lol!

Scary! Could be meds combating with each other. Or could be a new condition. Thankfully it didn't happen while you were driving.

Not driving is definitely required right now. Hope the neurologist can help. Trust that our God is in control regardless of the current stress. God loves you and your family.

Oh my goodness! How scary for you! I would try WebMD.com and check for drug interactions, not just side effects for each individual med. I'll be praying for answers and wisdom for your medical team of drs. Stay safe and take care of you!

Some times different meds do not mix. Check all you are taking. Hope all turns out well. I know how you feel when you do not feel good. Several years back I would be walking and could not go in a straight line I was crab walking. I found out it was the meds I was taking for sinus. When I quite them, I did not have a problem and wonderfully my sinus cleared up 95%

Have a googled your medicines to see what the side effects are? If you are getting their automatic answer of no, then you should do your own research. Try WebMD.com it is the first place I start.

    Hope you feel better soon.
