My last post was July24. I have been back and forth here on spark and not really logging or participating but I feel like this is home so I still hang out. When I wrote this post I had weighed in at my highest ever at 304. A few weeks ago, my bloodwork was retested. My blood pressure, cholesterol and Blood sugar was all way to high. (no matter how much I weighed my numbers were good until now). Anyway, I started really being serious about getting healthy, not so much losing weight. My dr. started me on meds on Monday ( I tried to get her to wait but she felt I really need to get this under control so I agreed). Today I got on the scale and I weighed 279. So I have lost 25 lbs. I am really happy about that but more than that, I feel better. My oldest daughter (32) is on the same plan so it is nice to have us all on one page, eating and cooking together and being excited about new recipes and new healthier bodies. I feel good. I feel like I am doing this for the right reasons now. The weight loss is a perk to me getting healthy and feeling better. So I am actually excited by the progress. One thing I have done is change me attitude. I am not having diet pepsi every day but I told myself I could have it today (friday will be my cheat day so to speak as hubby and I go out on date nights on fridays) and it helps to know i CAN have what I want, maybe just not right now, maybe just not as much but I can have it. I am a super stubborn rebellious person so it is helping me. As always, you guys, Thanks for being here. Truly.
