Holidays and planning for success

Tuesday, December 11, 2018

I started my journey again Sept. 4th. In Canada Thanksgiving is in October kicking off the holiday season. I made a commitment to stay in my calorie range every day as well as exercise daily. I used to have a all or nothing approach to eating clean. Whatever works for you. For me I find if I really want a treat I fit it into my calories. Truth is I find most treats are not worth it to me. I ask myself is this something I could have anytime? I have happily eaten fruit and veggies and left the other stuff alone often. I love lindt chocolate its a downfall. So I bought the advent calendar eating 1 piece at 30 calories a day. Allowing my self that little indulgence everyday has curbed my desire to binge on chocolate. I have been consistantly losing. I gained weight under some extreme stress this year. My first goal was to lose that weight and get back into my clothing. I did that and I now am taking new ground. The dress I am wearing is a smaller size and its loose on me already. I am on a journey but, I plan on celebrating all the victories along the way. After all this is my life! My life doesn't start when I hit some magical number on the scale. Every day I am getting healthier.
