End of Year & 2019 Goals
Wednesday, December 12, 2018
I started out on Jan. 10th-2017 at 273 lbs. On January 1-2018 I was 238 lbs. As of this morning I'm 235, so I feel I've made progress, even though very slowly. So over a years time, I've pretty much stayed within a 3-5 lb. standstill, up or down. Since in the past I averaged about a 10-15 lb. gain per year, I feel I've done pretty darn good over all for this year. I'm actually seeing a loss, even though it's a small one. But we still have 3 more weeks in the year so I could possibly drop a few more pounds. That's the goal. I would actually love to drop 6 lbs. more at the very least. That would bring me down lower than I've been in 9 years. So that's what I'm working towards.
In 2019, my goal is to get below 200 lbs, even if it's only 1 lb. under, and get my blood pressure under control, which is much higher than I like. I'm having to double the dosage for my bp pills at this point and that's just not acceptable to me. I know part is due to stress but that can't be helped at this time so I have to find other ways to get it under control.
I want to start working out more in 2019 than I did this year. I have an exercise bike so I have no real excuse not to use it more than I do. So that will be another goal to work on.
These aren't New Year's Resolutions. I rarely keep those. These are doable goals for me to reach a healthier me in 2019. And if I push myself, I know I can do it.
