Healthy pregnancy

I found out I was pregnant 15 weeks ago today! I can not explain how excited I was after 8 long months of trying! I immediately decided I needed to change my eating habits so as to have a healthy baby, and cut out most junk foods and lowering my simple carb intake. I replaced those simple carbs with whole grain options like brown rice instead of white rice Ect. On top of that I have been experiencing severe morning sickness or as I like to call it “all day nausea”. My first appointment I weighed in at 225 lbs and already over weight I knew I could not afford to gain much weight during this pregnancy due to health risks. So I set out to maintain my weight and only gain the amount my doctor recommended by eating very healthy. However by my next doctor appointment wich was a month later I had lost 5 pounds wich is 1.25 pounds a week! I was quite upset at this, and my doctor didn’t seem pleased with this either. there wasn’t much I could do other then to continue my nausea medication and she prescribed me a secondary medication to help. I am glad to report that this medication combo has helped Immensely! I have been able to eat regular meals every day, while also making healthy nutritious decisions. I have another appointment coming up soon and will update y’all on the results! Hopefully I will have been able to at least maintain my weight. Attached is a photo of what I had for lunch yesterday it is a brown rice and veggie bowl! It was so yummy!!!
