41 and Done

When I was a kid, I had a killer metabolism. It started to slow down when I was around 20 and came to a complete stop at 26 after I had my son.
I put on a little weight with the pregnancy and have been telling myself "it's just baby weight." Well the "baby" is 14-years-old now. (So I guess that excuse is getting stale. 😂)
I've always worked in the high-volume, very active world of food service. This enabled me to eat like crap and not gain any MORE weight. However, none was coming off either.
Fast forward to September of this year when I got my first desk job. (Woot! A 9 to 5 with benefits & holidays OFF with PAY!)

Until one early December laundry day when I had to wear my "fat pants" and they were TIGHT instead of falling off! 😢 (right in the feels!)
So I ran to the scale quick as I could where low and behold, I discovered I had gained 25 pounds.
TWENTY-FIVE POUNDS IN 3 MONTHS!
I immediately had a vivid vision of me 9 months & 90 lbs heavier. It would happen sooooo easily. I mean, I really LOVE cheeseburgers, fries & coca-cola! (seriously, a 2 liter a day...at least.)
So on December 17th, I got on this Spark App, started counting my calories, got my yoga mat out and renewed my gym membership. (thank you Planet Fitness for your affordability!)
I weigh in again on Monday the 7th. But so far, I am down 6 lbs & 5.25 inches.
I went to the gym today and spoke to the trainer to get a personalized work out program.
Anyway, thanks for letting me rant. I needed to get that ofd my chest with a non-judgemental group of people.
