I have discussed recent high cholesterol lab results with my new doc. Since
I already lead an active lifestyle and have made mostly good food choices, he wants me to use meds to lower cholesterol. I think that I have been sloppy in the recent past and that I can do better with diet and dedication to consistent exercise. Even though my BMI is within the healthy range, I have added 9 lbs. over two years. That’s too much!
The upshot: I will retake labs in 3 months and we will talk again. I can make more changes that will make me healthier and I’m in a perfect spot to do that. Instead of a full time road life, I am living near a city, helping my partner care for two of his family members. I can easily exercise, have access to a well equipped kitchen, have a natural foods market nearby and live with family who must have healthy and delicious meals.
I can utilize all of these resources to contribute to the enhanced health of everyone in the household. It is truly a happy situation to begin a new year.

You can do it. I hope you research all the side effects of the meds before agreeing to take them.
