Strength training

This is at least the third, maybe the fourth, time that I’ve been on SparkPeople. The last time I was here was years ago, trying to lose weight after my first baby. Now, several years and a couple babies later, I’m back. This time I don’t have much weight I want to lose, I mainly want to tone up. I had several extra pounds hanging around, but watching what I ate for a couple weeks dropped those pounds. Now I’m just...blah about my muscle tone. I’ve always been a runner so I’ve ramped that up lately and added in some weightlifting at the gym. I was doing some strength training at home but it wasn’t enough, and the effort was never fully there because I had so many other disctractions going on around me. I decided to put in the effort and get out of the house to do my strength training. One week in and it’s going well. I’ve missed just one day, but it was mostly pre-planned. I haven’t figured out the perfect routine yet on timing my workouts and eating, but I’ll get there. For now, just getting out of the house daily is the first step.
