Today is a new day...

Though this is not my first day back on the path to a healthier life (and hopefully some weight loss), today is the first day I am feeling more motivated.

I first got serious about dropping weight when I knew that I was making excuses to not participate in activities with my husband and son a couple years ago. I didn't feel well enough to enjoy getting out nor did I want to risk being seen by anyone I may know. I began tracking my food and s l o w l y the weight began to come off. Fast forward two years later, and according to the doctors chart last week, I have lost around 45 lbs. I feel better in my skin and want to be out with my family again - at least as much as an introvert like myself can stand. lol

I have had a rough couple of days taming the toddler inside who is throwing a tantrum about getting back into a healthier lifestyle, but I think this morning, I have that little lady in check. Here is hoping to happier, healthier days moving forward.

    Congratulations on losing 45lbs. You're on your way. I guess we all have that little imp inside of us. Mine tends to raise hell every time we walk by the cookie aisle at the grocer. I do my best to keep him in check but occasionally he wears me down. I wish you the best on your renewed health and wellness journey.
