Mid month - I had a rough weekend food wise last weekend. It started with a dinner out of “lightly breaded” fish (the special). It was too good and I should have eaten just one piece! End of story. Well not really... I’ve just been paying for it all week trying to eat less to make up for it!! The rest of the weekend wasn’t too bad but not my usual of “staying right on track”. What makes me upset is how easily the weight comes back on while feeling like I let my guard down a little. I was 63% to my goal of losing 4% body weight before last weekend. A good reminder to keep my calories in check!! Now, I’m at 32% (1.9 pounds down) to my goal after fighting to create a good calorie deficit every day since, exercising and getting my water in. It’s a struggle but I’ll get there!! This weekend, I’m tracking everything & making sure the calorie deficit is there. Along with exercise and water. Hoping to make it a great weekend and a great weigh in next week!! Vacation is the second week of Feb and I’m hoping to be back in shape enough to feel fit and comfortable enough on the beach & in shorts. 🌴☀️🍹 Update: I’ve stayed on track calorie, water, and exercise wise. It’s paying off! Today, (Sat) I’m 85% to goal at 145.2. Also, I tried eating high good fat for about 3 days. Mostly olive oil & avocado on my spinach salad, so lots of good fats but I did make a really yummy broccoli cheese soup that had some heavy cream and sharp cheddar in it. Even with a good calorie deficit, eating this way was making me gain weight!! So I reverted back to the 35/35/30 with a calorie deficit again and am seeing the scale finally go back down. Yay! Apparently, Full fat dairy makes me gain easily but low-fat dairy doesn’t! At least I can still eat low fat cheese, cottage cheese, etc. still learning.... End of January update... I’ve really been staying on track with my nutrition and daily calories and creating a deficit which is key!! I’ve also been working out consistently and ran twice last week on the treadmill. Also, getting my water in daily. Lots of grilled chicken salads, very little dairy, eggs, veggies, berries. A little guac or cheese, very small amounts of dark chocolate and a little wine. I’m at 100% for my dietbet, down 4% and at 143.5 today. Ending January on a pretty good note!
