2019 is a year of new beginnings. For myself, I am graduating in May with my Master of Architecture. My husband has accepted a new job that will move him and our daughter in March. We have been physically separated for most of the last 4 years, and we are so glad that we will be all together again soon. The stress of going to school, being hundreds of miles from your family (I am in South Bend, Indiana, while he is in NJ), poor eating habits / poor sleep and cooking for one has caused me to gain about 35 pounds since beginning grad school.
My friend sells ketones and I am going to start tomorrow on the Keto diet, with hopes that it will cause me to stay on track because it was pretty pricey. I would like to lose a few pounds before graduation - dare I set a goal of 20 pounds??? I actually do well on Keto, because it is pretty easy now to find lots of great recipes, I can pretty much eat chicken cordon bleu every night.
I recently started going to the chiropractor, and found out I have scoliosis, so I need to lose the weight to prevent that getting worse, and take calcium and multivitamins every day. Once we get to California, I'll be able to get out and walk every day, but this week, it's an ice rink outside, so mostly I go to Walmart or similar and walk around. Until they start following me, LOL.
Anyway, one day at a time, I will make better food choices, move my body every day, drink water, and get more sleep.
