The combination of daily morning walks and intermittent fasting is paying off!
It is very slow! 2.5kg in 5 weeks and 0.5 inch of both hip & waist line. I don't like that it is so slow with set backs all the time. I would love my pounds to melt off, but from experience I know thats not how my body works. What counts is that I am not starving and am finally getting over the feeling I have to work out vigorously, while weight is coming off.
Working out vigorously has in the past often caused RA flare-up and with that thrown me back
What I do now is most mornings I go for an early morning walk of 4 - 4.5km. I walk at a good pace doing loops in the estate / suburb I live in. First 2 loops I just walk to warm up my joints properly. Then I do hill sprints of 100m up the slightly steeper hill just to shake things up a bit. It gives me the feeling I am having a proper workout. At the same time my knee does not seem to suffer for it.
I go play golf once a week, which is 9-10km up and down on the golf course. Then I go to the forest once a week for a 10-12km run / walk with about 1/3 run and 2/3 walk. The day after this is my rest day.
For the intermittent fasting I do every 3rd day and start with an early dinner at 5pm. I usually have something light like a fruit salad with nuts and seeds or a small meal with few carbs. Then I stay for 16 hrs only drinking tea or coffee.
The next morning I do my usual walk, then have coffee and that keeps me going until 9am when I have my breakfast.
I realized I need to be careful not to overeat at that breakfast. But it seems to be working and it has paid off.
Am happy! Yes it will take me a couple of months to reach my first big goal of losing 14kg. But I am getting closer to mini goal No. 1 of getting under 90kg. Just 1.6kg to go! I hope to reach it by end of February.

How great you have figured this out and found something that is positively working for you. It seems the older we get the harder it is to accomplish anything. It will be interesting to see the positive results you will reap.
