Day 1: Before Photos

Friday, February 15, 2019

Hi everyone! My name is Marissa and I am here to lose 17.5 lbs and gain back my body confidence. I am 25 years old and my starting weight is 152.5. My goal is 135. Here are "before" photos and I will update every 10 lbs or so! Please ignore the poor computer camera quality and little cat who couldn't stay out of the photos!

I am going to stay on top of this blogging thing because I know immersing myself in the community will keep me motivated toward hitting my goal weight! I have a few reasons for wanting to reach my goal:

To feel more confident
To feel more energized
I have a bunch of weddings to attend this summer, including one that I am a bridesmaid in and I want to look good in my dress!
I am hoping my boyfriend will propose soon (seriously, it's time!) and want to be fit if there is a wedding in our somewhat near future.
I just feel "blah" right now. I am reminiscent of the days 4 years ago when I was fit and thin.

I am a farmer so I am already very active, but I need to snack less and add a little bit of cardio and strength training each day. I am currently recovering from a back injury-- I had a lumbar strain that was so bad I could barely move, and the muscle relaxers the doctor put me on caused me to pass out and fall down our entire flight of stairs adding a dislocated SI joint onto my already injured back... so I am going to have to take exercising a little bit easy at the very beginning as I continue to heal! But, I am hoping getting back into shape will help my back in the long run. I am SO ready to reach my goals! I can't wait to meet you all! :)
