A Simple Day and Thank you

I read somewhere another way to be successful in my diet journey is to blog or journal daily. I can see where this will keep my focused on my goals. I have been happy so far with my success on spark people. I find that the community is very supportive with lots of great ideas. I hope I can give back equal amounts of encouragement.
Through spark people I found out about Leslie Sansone. I enjoy doing her walking videos, and I have found that instead of losing a pound a week I am losing 2 when I add in her videos, at least 4 times a week.
On the days I work, I try to exercise for 10 minutes at least. Very rarely do I manage more but I do try to keep to my promise to myself to exercise every day. I work long shifts in a very busy Emergency Department. My step count goes up dramatically when I work but I think my body is used to that. When I get home I try for my ten minutes and call it a day.
Today is vegetable prep day. I bought celery and cucumbers to munch on for snacks. Its funny that if I don't cut them up I'll let them rot in the fridge. If I cut them up they are eaten within 2 days. I also make some vegetable dip out of Fage fat free yogurt and Hidden Valley dressing powder spice that I buy in bulk from Sam's Club. It's quite a treat.

The picture is of my husband and myself at Tahquamenon Falls in the upper peninsula of Michigan. I am dreaming of warmer weather.
