My first long walk since 30 September
Saturday, February 16, 2019
After 3 months doing a minimum 10000 steps a day, life got in the way on 1st October and I haven’t had a good long walk since then until today.
5 minutes from home and the promise that winter is leaving
Snowdrops I managed to capture, the grey squirrel was to fast for my camera.
Then just through the woodland a little more and the reminder that it’s still here when two deer bounded across my path. They don’t come so far down when it’s watmer.
Then it was a peaceful walk along the riverbank watching ducks as I went.
Then along the shoreline with the tide full in.
I could have walked forever, but I forgot that along the beach there are no buses when I get tired. Oops.
The old legs are a bit tired and the back is complaining a little but with 7 and a half miles under my belt for a first day out I’ll go to bed content.
From tomorrow, Sunday, I’m on holiday for a week. Early rise and off to my friend for church and and overnight before we drive to Pitlochry till Friday. All we ask I’d for dry weather please.
