Why is it that when you don't wear your fitbit that you don't want to put in the extra effort to move...I lost my charger so I have to buy a new one for my fitbit. Since the fitbit is dead right now I have been lazy in getting my exercise. There is something about that fitbit that just motivates you to move and get just a little more. UGH...I need to get a charger ASAP so I don't use this as an excuse to not do anything.

emoticon I got my first Fitbit in January. It is certainly a motivational tool. I know at night if I do not get all my steps in for the day I will get on the elliptical until I reach my goal. I would never had done that in the past and it really bothers me if I don't get my 250 steps in every hour. Last week when I was at the salon I was reminded twice that I had not reached the 250 steps and I had a sense of panic. I'm not sure I want to be psychologically dependent that way, but I really enjoy looking at the dashboard and knowing that I have met my goals.
