It’s been slow steady progress. I’ve begun my 8th week of consistent exercise. Suprisingly, the exercise has been the easy part. Where I struggle is with the end of the day stress eating and the nagging thought that I will not accomplish my goal....I worry that I can’t manage my stress in a way that doesn’t involve mindless snacking. But, then I talk myself up and remind myself of the work I’ve been putting in. I try to be proactive and think of the known triggers of my stress at home so I can come up with a strategy to deal or minimize it. I tell myself how each day I’m becoming a little stronger than the day before. I remind myself that 8 weeks ago, going to the gym was something I had only planned to do but never did. I have to remember to forgive myself for the slip ups and speak kindly to myself everyday and maybe every hour... ❤️
