"The best way to take off the weight and make sure it sticks is to create lifelong healthy habits."
Today's article talked about how short term goals are the path to long term success. I am doing one of my short-term goals, reading a health/fitness/nutrition article every day. I also added a goal of logging my food every day for 3 months. I am pretty much doing this, but it will be fun to put the 3-month timeline, then I can look back and say "Hey, I've done that!". Then I set up for another 3 months, and wow! wouldn't it be nice to have tracked consistently for 6 months!
Confession: I need to really do and track that DAILY exercise (commit to 10 mins.) I need to ID what a 10 min exercise looks like for me. Is it walking to the next street and back? I can fit that in! Are there 10 min yoga routines? I get derailed by thinking I need to do 30+mins, so I don't even start. And I think that when they say "10 mins/day", they really mean "you need to extend that 10 mins to 30+ mins", so I don't even start. Man, my head gets in the way!!!
OK, so my assignment is to ID "10-minute" exercise options. Not "10-mins that I will feel guilty about if I don't extend to 30 mins." But really 10-minute things. There are times I will do the 30 mins, but if I can't or don't want to, I should have good 10-min options.
