It was gloomy this morning but I didn't let it get me down. I put on my walking shoes and made the best of it! Defeating that inner voice that tells you to just go sit on the couch is the biggest obstacle in weight loss.
Overcoming stressors in your life is the other big thing everyone goes through each day. A big majority of weight loss is mental. Do you really need that treat at the snack machine for instance or can you just walk on by. I have found in my journey over the course of my lifetime, that the main stay in weight loss is changing my actions. How I eat, what I eat and where I eat.
For instance if you eat in front of the television you have a tendency to mindlessly eat not realizing you are full. I have also found that if you eat slower you will get full quicker. It satisfies your mind and tastebuds not just more empty calories than you need.
Now that it is getting in the 50's and 60's this week I will be walking every day. I usually walk breaks and lunches. Then walk in the evening taking advantage of the longer days. Walking helps with stress and relaxes me.
