I parallel-parked without hitting anything or being a mile away from the curb today's going to be a good day I can tell. I went for a jog even though it was drizzling. I went further than I planned but I am still stuck in the 15's which is frustrating because I used to be able to run 12's.
This was run number 4 in my Girls on the Run Training. The race is on May 11th.
Runs 1, 2 and 3 = approximately 15 min/mile each.
Today was the longest run by far. Goal is 5K (3.10686 miles) which I actually hit this morning. I'd like to be able to finish in under 40 minutes, which is about 12.5 min/mile. I don't know how fast my girl can run (I'm matched up with an elementary school student for the run) - but I personally want to be able to run that fast. It doesn't have to be at the actual race - I'm going to run at her pace but encourage her to do just a little bit more than she thinks she can.
Last night was SUSHI NIGHT. I told myself if I could stick to my food plan Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, (1400-1500 cals), then I could have sushi on Wednesday night for supper. Next week's prize is going to be lemon ricotta toast with fresh fruit and a skinny caramel latte at Leslie's Coffee. I can't wait. OMG. It sounds so good I'm salivating.
I have some other ideas for prizes, too. Mani/pedi when I get under 190 (I was at 197 this morning), massages, clothing, free half/full day off work, Netflix, etc. etc.
