My break is coming to a close, this time in a fortnight I will be arranging my work wardrobe. So it is time to return to normal sleep patterns and catch up on the news I have been mostly ignoring on my holiday. My work as a researcher means I have to be aware of current events and I must say I have enjoyed pulling the metaphorical duvet over my head, but now it is time to peek out again.
DH arrives by air on Friday and I've been enjoying chatting by FaceTime three or so times a day but it is not the same as seeing him in the flesh.
I'm arranging a pot luck dinner for Saturday as a few friends will be around during the Easter break.
And it is back to normal eating habits, I've been eating when hungry but not such balanced meals, as the kitchen in my private accommodation is very basic indeed, though perfectly adequate.
I'll miss my little bird buddies, fantails, bellbirds, wax eyes, falcons, wekas and pukeko when I leave, but mostly I will miss the bush and the constant sound of our beautiful green river which is always there in the background.
So I'd best enjoy it while I am still here.
Have a happy week Sparkies, doing the things that make you 😊
