Trying something new again

I have been stuck on the same weight again for a month. Now I read something about your gut flora playing a large role in being able to loose weight. Also we eat so much garbage unknowingly, I know we have damaged out gut flora. So now I will try a combination of Probiotics, Vit B complex, ensuring fiber intake is above 20gm a day and continuing with my 1300- 1500kcal a day food goals. I will do this for a month and see how it goes.

    How's it going? My Dr. said that gluten, even if you're not diagnosed as gluten intolerant, may contribute to leaky gut. She suggested I drop gluten and grains in general, dairy, sugar, corn, soy. I've been experimenting. I've also added probiotics, vit Bs, and a bunch of other stuff she recommended. Though I'm not 100% I feel less bloat.

    Steph, chia seeds and berries are expensive but you don't need much. 1 Tablespoon of chia seeds is only about 6 grams. I never used to buy berries because of the price but look how long they will last when you use small amounts only. Read up on the benefits of each ingredient. Spark has great articles on them. like i said, you can use any fruit in season. this is so much better than the "fruity" yogurts they sell in the stores. i use a large tub of plain yogurt and that lasts me a week.

    Steph, this is what I eat for breakfast almost every day. A little water (no more than a quarter cup) add 1 Tbsp chia seeds (they need the water to gel up), 1 tbsp ground flax seeds, 1 Tbsp sliced almonds (optional), 1/3 cup plain NF greek yogurt, hand full (about 10 - 12) blueberries, 3 or 4 blackberries or raspberries, 1 or 2 strawberries (cut up) and 1/3 cup cereal (I like the healthy type, more protein, less sugar). I mix it all up and eat. It keeps me filled up for a long time, is less than 300 calories. If I don't have berries I cut up other fruit (or use canned or frozen fruit - grapes, pineapple, peach, whatever you have. Don't use more than 1/2 a banana. Your choices are endless.
    BREAKFAST TOTALS: 275 32carbs 11fat 14protein 10fiber
    I have no problems using the bathroom either, I have to floss my teeth more often because the chia seeds like to hide in between the teeth. LOL

    Sounds good to me. It seems everything effects weight at times I think even breathing. I don't think there is truly an answer to this diet stuff. I just want to eat healthy and feel healthy and I think my body will take care of itself. emoticon

    I started taking digestive emzymes and the weight seems to be coming off easier. Might be coincidence, might not.
