From Obese to Overweight
Thursday, April 25, 2019
So when I logged my weight in my phone today, my phone was "rude" and told me I was obese. I know I am fat but I have never liked the term obese. I mean, who would. Of course I could be worse, morbid obesity. Morbid obesity is defined as having a bmi over 40. I am currently at 31.8. If I get to 29.9 then I will be overweight. To get to 29.9, I need to weight 174.4. That is my goal for now. Little steps will get me there.
I wasn't really that hungry yesterday, so I ended making yesterday a fast day. I ate dinner on Tuesday at 7 pm, and I didn't eat again until last night at 5 pm. So although I didn't go the 36 hours, The Diabetic Code recommends, I think that is a good start. I am down 0.2 lbs from yesterday morning. So even though I ate a 1/2 a chocolate bar (22g of carbs), I know I ate fewer calories yesterday. I will try to do this 2-3 days a week.
There have been a few questions about yesterday's blog. I am reading LOTS of books. The Diabetic Code and Bright Line Eating. I have a few other diabetes related books. For novels, I am reading "The Funeral Parlor Quilt" by Ann Hazelwood and "The Cat Who Robbed a Bank" by Lilian Jackson Braun.
In terms of the quilting,
This is the Hawaiian quilt shirt quilt. It is made with Hawaiian fabrics to look like shirts. The shirts have collars and even a shirt tag in the collar. The tuffets are either round or square. Hannah wants a square one like this:
. It is like an ottoman or a small seat. She will use it in her off campus housing next year. The boys both wanted a round tuffet and then we found a pattern for a chevron tuffet that they both liked.
