I reached my goal - now comes the hard part ... MAINTENANCE

This morning, I reached my weight goal for 2019 ... minus 37 lbs. Now comes the hard part, stepping into maintenance. My plan is to add 100 calories and hold that for a week, then add another 100 and hold that for a week. So tomorrow I will go from 1100 to 1200. Next week I will try 1300 daily. If I start to gain, I will cut back until I find out what my body needs, not what the charts say. Each of us is different. My journey of 1000 to 1100 a day has NOT been hard or painful because I save 240 calories every night for ice cream. It's a great motivator and reward for me. My wife is doing well with the same method but a different calorie level. Each body and each metabolism is different and we have to adapt to the body that God gave us.

    Congratulations and it is very true each metabolism is really different. I'm still in loser mode but find as a woman if I go too low for an extended period of time, I can't lose an ounce. Glad we figure these things out!. Hope your transition is hugely successful, I will be interested in the results, with the hope to be right behind you!
