Started My Walking Regime today

This is my 1st Blog on SP. I started following SP eating plan 3 weeks ago and am down 3 pounds so far. I am aiming to lose 100 pounds in total. Presently my small weight goal is to lose 25 pounds by mid October before my Bus Trip to NY with friends. It's been a few years since I weighed under 200 pounds, so my focus is 25 pound increments , once I lose 50 pounds , that will put me at 200 pounds. Then I'll focus on the last 50 pounds 😁 I've been making up one excuse after another about starting to walk but today I put my foot or feet down lol And I walked 30 minutes 3000 steps

    I like to walk too but haven't in a while. I tracked when I first came toSP then quit and now am back to it. It definitely helps keep me accountable to what I put in my mouth and best of all IT WORKS.

    Welcome to SparkPeople. We are all here for the same reason, no matter what our personal story is. We are here to help each other to get to that healthy point we want to be in our lives. It is not going to be easy, but it is attainable. Make small goals and they will lead to big successes. You have to make you #1 and tell yourself that you are worth it. And remember you didn't gain the weight overnight and you won't lose it overnight. It takes time, determination, motivation and support. You can get it all right here!     Sorry I missed welcoming you to Spark People when you arrive here. I try to look out for new people to give them an encouraging message--it helped me when I first showed up. Congrats on shedding 3 pounds already! That's awesome progress. So proud of you. Your goals sound wonderful. That looks like a lovely place for a lovely walk! Good for you! Getting started is half the battle.
