I'm in Florida right now, enjoying resting and being a tourist, with my hubby. Who is not on a diet. Who is enjoying food we don't get at home. And I'm with him! lol. We went to Tarpon Springs today, home of the luscious Greek pastries and oh my goodness. Well, I didn't want to act like a little rabbit and just sit and drink coffee, making both of us feel bad. So...I got a wonderfully decadent almond cake piece. However, we walked a lot in the hot sun and fresh air, then for lunch I had some more wonderful food--a Greek salad, which I love and would order even if I wasn't watching calories. It balanced out to be about 650 calories for the 2 things, as far as I can figure. Thus I can still be within my "calories for the day" range and I had a GREAT TIME and enjoyed myself and my treats immensely! Nevertheless, of course I did have to be aware of things and usually am OK with foregoing some delicious treats, this was just a special. I'm a happy camper. Things might have been different if not for the salad...Any other good news travel food stories out there?! I'm interested!
