A short note as it's midnight. Our 2 dogs decided to wake us at 4 AM with lightening and thunder. One was barking at us and the other running around on the bed over top of us. We could see the beautiful lightening through our camper curtains. Makes for a long day.

We then worked on the remodeling project on our house and then got a 5 PM test from our middle son that their DD had a concert tonight at 8 PM. Of course you drop everything and go. The concert was huge and we just made it. The parents hadn't been told until the time they texted us.

The drive home was beautiful with an almost full moon. Skies clear. Nice night to be out late. We are told we have another storm rolling in Fri. night into Sat. Might think about staying in the house even though it's a total mess. The dogs may do a little better but then probably not.

Storms can be beautiful as well as vicious. The thought behind this blog is really the girls (dogs) and their fears and I realize we all have fears of something and we respond in so many different ways to those fear. I love storms as long as I am safe. Think about your fears and how you can over come them.

My fur baby Mr. Spot always hated the thunder. Lightening didn't bother him, but he needed a Thundershirt to calm down during thunderstorms. Poor boy.

Glad you made it to the concert last night! Sheesh! That school need to do a bit more planning to inform parents of such events!

I'm also a storm-lover as long as the lightning isn't as intense as it can get here in Central FL. I LOVE the wind and have been thru many, many hurricanes. Altho I hate the devastation they bring, the wind has a kind of wild beauty to it.

Stay safe and keep those puppies near you! emoticon

I love thunderstorms! I have been lucky, our last two dogs (this one is 7 and last one lived to be 17) don't even seem to notice storms. We have not had a dog bothered by them for over 20 years! Even our cat doesn't seem to mind them. I hope that your girls have a better night tonight!

Storms are not my favorite thing to go through. Tuesday afternoon we had a severe storm roll on through much of the valley. We were sitting in the living room reading. Boom, lightening struck to close for comfort. We saw a flash and then a heavy little wall picture fell to the floor, TV went off and so did the computer in the other room---it hit the box. Lucky for us the connect came back on shortly after Jim felt safe to do whatever to the box. It was the first time we saw our pup look up and take notice of what happened. She usually sleeps through everything. I do like looking at the sky when there is heat lightening going on though.
Sounds like you had a great time at the concerts tonight, we went to our granddaughters concerts when we lived in Mn. I enjoyed them, not sure Jim was all excited about them but did go. Nice that you had a great ride home with almost a full moon out,
