Just another Friday Night

Friday, May 17, 2019

Even now it isn't straightforward. Lord Byron's Solicitor has taken to throwing up random stupid problems. Even for a Solicitor they are being incredibly pedantic. The latest is they want the deeds transferred into my name. We've pointed out that can't happen until the sale goes through which will pay off the outstanding mortgage which is in Bonkers ex's name. In any case is pointless given the deeds would then be transferred to Lord B. My solicitor is giving them until lunch time Monday to respond.

If they don't, I've agreed that the 'property developer' who was interested a few weeks back should be approached and offered a viewing. I've been more than fair to Lord Byron, sod that now. As ever these things occur at the weekend when there's little that can be done. Given that, I'm just going to carry on with sifting and sorting, picking and packing.

Bright blessings

Solicitors are just there to make money out of us, certainly seems to be the case for Lord B’s one. What a pl*nker!

Perhaps your ex can just sign the purchase/sale agreement? Might be quickest and easiest. Transferring the deed will for sure be time consuming and perhaps costly. If the deed is still in his name, just have him sign for the sale. You can fax it right to him, he can sign and fax it right back. Good luck!

Sorry that he is being so rude. But, that is all you can do, move forward with someone else if necessary.
    Have a good weekend.
