New Challenge Ahead!

I've signed up for the BLC, summer quarter, and it starts in June. If I can lose just another 15 pounds, I will be satisfied. I am considering trying the keto diet, which I recently discovered through my mom has been around for years. She said she was on the keto diet when she was 24. It's funny how these things just get recycled over again and are made to sound brand new each time.

I tried on clothes today and really do need to lose the last 15. I remember when I used to try on clothes and be perfectly fine with the way I looked in almost anything, including swimsuits. I am not ready to give that up. My sedentary job, combined with a slowing metabolism, is primarily what has gotten me into the shape I'm in today. I am going to have to create and commit to daily habits that will build and maintain muscle with a strength training routine. I am going to have to commit to a daily habit of general exercise, which for the most part I already have, with my walk a mile at lunch at work routine. Most importantly, I am going to have to rethink my long term diet.

I know what I want, I know how to get there. There's no reason for me not to succeed with this. This is not dependent on anything but my own decisions. I am fully responsible for what I choose to eat. I have all the resources I need right here on SP to help stay motivated and on track. BLC, summer quarter, here I come!
