Bonus blog: the baby chain saw and me
Saturday, May 18, 2019
Several years ago, I purchased a small electric chain saw. In 2010, to be precise. Here's me wielding it in November, that year, threatening small volunteer trees.
Don't know if it shows up in the photo that well, but this truly is a "baby" in the chain saw world. Only 1.5 Horse power max, and it's a *corded* electric, meaning, it has the range of my extension cord from the nearest outlet only. I got a small one on purpose because I wasn't sure of my strength ability in using it. But this week has proven I'm still good to go with it.
Believe it or not, this baby chain saw pre-dates my taking up longer distance running, and I stopped doing a lot with it in the time since. It's been loaned out to my son to work on projects around his house, and came home to me this year to work on some more of mine. The swing deconstruction being one of those projects.
This photo, compared to the one from yesterday shows two more beams removed. Now the removed pieces, along with some weeds and volunteer trees, are lining up behind my fence for next Friday's trash collection.
Bit by bit... projects taken on. Progress! Spark on, my friends!
