Born to Run...Eat Plants and Visit Plants

Right there is my secret to happiness. You're welcome. Well the first part for me is more like born to run-walk, Zumba and do other exercise, but you get the idea.

I am too lazy to cite studies, but research backs this up. Many years ago some studies found exercise as effective as antidepressants for mild (possibly even moderate?) depression. There's a whole lot of research suggesting the more plants you eat the better and there is research to suggest nature boosts mood. For the record, I am not vegan or even vegetarian, I just eat a lot of plants.

As I have mentioned, for my own emotional health I needed to increase my exercise. I have noticed a boost in energy. One sort of freaky side effect is my sleep. Probably due to stress I am not sleeping as long as I want and this was happening before the increase in exercise. Since boosting exercise, I find myself getting better quality sleep during the not- enough hours and waking up much earlier than I used, but feeling somewhat OK/ not exhausted.

Today, I did Zumba and walked and played outside with my family. I ate plants (and non- plants) and saw plants. I probably got about 2 hours of exercise spread out-some light-some more intense. It was a perfect Saturday.
