The American Diabetes Association does a REVERSAL of their recommendations
Saturday, May 18, 2019
Well all you Keto despising people and wrong way nutritionists better get a grip as the ADA has reversed their recommendations concerning a LOW CARB diet. They have changed their TUNE after losing a lawsuit involving MILLIONS of dollars. The lawsuit involved a young boy who lost his foot due to BAD recommendations, unscientifically researched recommendations.
These are the NEW guidelines and the American Heart Association is right behind them folks, based on research by HARVARD, JOHN HOPKINS and Duke University.
1.Reducing overall carbohydrate intake for individuals wit diabetes has demonstrated the most evidence for improving glycemia and may be applied in a variety of eating patterns that meet individual needs and preferences.
2. For select adults with type 2 diabetes not meeting glycemic targets or where reducing antiglycemic medications is a priority reducing overall carbohydrate intake with a low or VERY low carbohydrate eating plans is a viable approach.
Funny how it takes a multi million dollar lawsuit to wake people up!
