Happy Saturday!

What a day. I am ready to crash and really hope that I sleep well.

I attempted to sleep in this morning, but it really didn't happen, so I got up and got my workout done. I was able to take my time and was done before Jacob got up. I got my shower taken and had my breakfast. The rest of the morning was spent wondering what was going to happen with Jacob's soccer game.

At 1:00 we still hadn't heard anything, so we loaded up the car. We hit the first graduation reception and I sent a text to Denise (she's in charge at the fitness center, which sets up the teams for soccer) and she said that she would try to find out. It was the fact of knowing that possible storms were supposed to hit around 5:00, that just made me think that there shouldn't be a game. All the other soccer fields in and around Des Moines were closed, but no, not Prairie Ridge.

We headed to our next reception and I still hadn't heard anything, so when we left there we headed for Ankeny. We got to the soccer field super early, so of course no one was there yet. 4:30 rolls around and still nobody except a ref. By this point it has started raining and not too long after that it did start lightning and thundering. I finally texted somebody and apparently it was decided at 3:00 that there would be no game! Are you freaking kidding me? I didn't get that text. The ironic thing is that the ref didn't know either (Mike went to tell him before we left). I was so angry and upset. I did text Denise as we were on our way home to let her know that I wasn't notified. Our coaches are wonderful, but I don't think that Brittany has ever had a complete text list. The first group text that she sent out had extra people, plus even our land line. She weeded it out, but somehow mine is still not in there. She has texted me separately, but I missed out on a whole conversation apparently. It's over and done and I'm not really blaming anyone. Denise said that the Ankeny coach still wanted to play, but she told him that with our team having to drive an hour and a half he had better guarantee a game, even with a delay. When she talked with the team there were 3 refusing to even go. emoticon

Oh well, the bonus was that we were able to hit the other three graduation receptions. I am now extremely full - I wasn't horrible at the last three, but just enough that I'm full.

Now I'm ready to crash.

Goals:
1. Nutrition: um, graduation receptions. I did avoid cake at the last two!
2. Fitness: This morning I did Country Heat: Giddy Up and Yoga Burn Monthly: Month 1, Week 1, Practice 3.
3. Personal: Read my Bible and devotional. Phone time was weird - it says I am up, but I did use the GPS on the way to Ankeny. I will have my prayer/journal time before I crash.

Tomorrow - church and graduation. Thankfully no receptions to go to!

That was a chance to offer it up to God! Any time I am in a situation like that I pray that God can use my emotions for good in the world!

Sorry about the game notification mess, but glad you enjoyed the graduation receptions. We have a bunch of friends with graduating kiddos this year.
