So high !!!

We voted on Saturday, it was great to have a say in our country, it is compulsory here to vote it you are a citizen and over 18 years old. I am pleased with the outcome and will support the new group who got in. Lots of prayer and support.

We skyped DD and GC, A said " Nana can you make Tom a blanket and a hat? "

Tom is her toy, he is a rag doll so it will be interesting to try this out :)

I have started the blanket :) no surprise there :). I am thinking out of the box for his hats. He has a flat head and round face, so I am going to try to make a 'pirate' style hat for a to put on him. Also she loves dinosaurs so I will knit the Dinosaurs in a couple of shades of yellow her favourite colour at the moment (Wiggles Emma ) but not stuff them so she can fit them over Toms head.

My Nana's heart was bursting to get it done :) no surprise there LOL ...

Beauty is able to get some green grass at the moment and is getting to know if we disappear behind the shed we are going up the hill and if she is up the hill we go down.

We are greeted by her lowing... though feeding her in the rain one day was not a highlight ... for some reason Aussies don't have raincoats :)

Have a wonderful week Friends, acknowledge a stranger, smile, laugh,

looks like you had a nice week. Petrol here is 1.34/l close to your prices. I've seen 1.64/l in BC THAT is expensive!

here the grass grows fast. it's spring so we get lots of rain. I missed the floods while on vacation. but came back to a grass almost knee high. Took me 2 hours to get the backyard done (and there is not so much grass there because of the pool!)

    Have a great week!

I love your pictures and have to show David the X tree. He loves plants and has Ashley’s green thumb. I know he will want to try to find one here in the states. LOL

I understand making things for grands. Kristina (DGD) is expecting a boy and told me about hunting a deer print newborn baby sack—yes, I found the fabric and made it, plus a dress for Lyla out of pink deer print fabric. I hadn’t made any clothes in years—just quilts.

    Have a super week Christine.

We keep as much rain gear around as we do pair of glasses. Love the x tree. Never heard or seen one before. So awesome being able to see your part of the world thru you. Knowing a and e in the little bit you can share and their interest. Love the Long distance connections they have with you and miles don’t keep you apart. Probably by now you have it already have it on it’s way as you made it with so much love. Have a great week

Thanks for the local pictures! And I hope to see pics of the blanket and hat when you finish them. Maybe DD can send one of Tom decked out in his new things. A is cute even without the visual! Your Nana heart is caught for sure.

Sounds like a good week was had by all! I know that we here in the States complain about gas prices, but you and the folks in Europe have it a lot worse than we do. Although here in California, our prices are pretty terrible compared to other states. There some gas stations down near Death Valley charging over $9 per gallon!! I pay around $3.50 or so per gallon here in the central valley.

Making hats and a blanket for a toy, that's a determined grandma!

We were getting quite warm here but a heavy storm system with lots of rain has come in and the last couple of days it has been cold enough for long pants. Will probably stay this way for a couple more days (I hope!).

Have a good week my friend, stay warm!
