I have struggled with my decisions on how often to weigh myself. I have tucked the scale away only to bring it out again and make a new plan for the frequency of my weigh ins. I have weighed myself everyday, I have weighed in twice a day, I have weighed in once a week and I have tried to weigh in once a month but I never quite made it that long.
The recommendation is to weigh in weekly. I will need to work up the mental fortitude to do that. Right now I weigh in twice a day: morning and night. I know I won't be able to give this habit up until I hit my first goal. I can commit to weighing in once a day once I hit that target. As I work towards my second goal I will still want to weigh in daily. Once I hit that target I will move to weighing in every three days. And after my summer vacation I will move to a weekly weigh in.
That's my plan. I have it written down so I can look back to what I have committed to do.
