emoticon Hello Spring!

It has been thunderstorms here all weekend and in the 40's which means no walking for me!

emoticon Spring Self Care ideas:

emoticon Get new spring clothing. Buy a cute new top, sunglasses, a sun hat, or a new bra. There’s always a reason to buy a brand new bra!

emoticon Get a new houseplant! Succulents and cacti are super easy to grow. Golden porthos (nearly impossible to kill) although they have to be hanging up away from pets. Spider plants are easy to grow and pet safe.

emoticon Do a bit of Spring Cleaning.

emoticon My son is home for the summer!!!

emoticon GF graduated college last weekend. 1st generation to do so. So her dad and step mom took her to FL to celebrate. And took a step sister to celebrated her 13th birthday.

emoticon Wednesday GF found a job to apply to. Apparently she didn't want to apply for any this year but her dad pushed her to do so. Thursday she got a interview, Friday she got the job. She is moving to another state about 26 hours away. Only until December. This is an answer to prayer. Hopefully 6 months will be enough to drift apart.

emoticon My son seems to be doing OK with all this. He is looking forward to fun house mates that he has a lot in common with this school year. He has been texting, snap chatting, etc with them and another male friend. He is secretory now of the robotic club starting this fall which seems to fit him even if he wanted to be pres or VP which would have fit him also.

emoticon Thank you for reading my blog! Keep Sparkling!

Spider plants may be pet safe, but they are not safe FROM pets - my cats chewed mine down to nubs.

Congratulations to the girlfriend for getting that job right away -- she must "interview" well and know how to sell herself. Now let's hope she has the maturity to KEEP the job, and who knows, it could turn into something permanent. I don't think you could ask for a more perfect outcome -- a few states away and that long a distance is too far for quick weekends that don't involve a plane ticket. I'm so glad her father pushed her, since she feels that whatever he says is right (as in not seeking therapy). And that will give your son plenty of time to really immerse himself in school and friends and college life without having to work around her possessiveness. I have a feeling it will be a good summer and fall for both of you!
